The Institute, founded by Kate Anthony and DeeAnna Merz Nagel is a think tank for all issues related to e-therapy.

The Institute offers a niche bookstore with listings of publications related to mental health and technology, cyberpsychology, online counseling and
internet addiction.

Members may display the OTI member logo on websites and other media. The Online Therapy Institute has created a group on Linkedin as well. MySpace, Facebook, avatars and social
networking are all familiar tools utilized and discussed at the Institute.

The Institute encourages discussion of research, services, products and training offered by members in the spirit of resource development. The Institute is international in scope and is committed to creating a space that people can “advertise” and discuss their offerings so that all may learn and benefit from one another.

Charter members of the Online Therapy Institute who obtain a paid membership now through the end of 2008 will be renewed for the year 2009 at no charge.
