Substance Abuse Evaluation
Substance abuse evaluations take approximately two hours to complete and are typically performed in an office
setting. This evaluation is conducted in order to determine the seriousness of substance abuse issues and to generate treatment
recommendations. The evaluation consists of clinical interviews, a drug test and the use of valid and reliable testing instruments.
Substance abuse evaluations can be administered to adults & adolescents 14 and older.
Violence Risk/Domestic
Violence Evaluation
Domestic violence evaluations take approximately two and a half hours to complete and are typically performed
in an office setting. This assessment is conducted in order to determine whether a person has domestic violence and/or anger
management issues and to generate treatment recommendations. The evaluation consists of clinical interviews, background checks
and the use of valid and reliable testing instruments. Evaluations can be administered to adults & adolescents 14 and
older.
Parental Fitness Evaluation
Parental fitness evaluations
take approximately four hours to complete and are usually performed in office and visitation settings. Evaluations are conducted
in order to identify areas of need in relation to parenting skills and abilities. The evaluation consists of clinical interviews,
observation and the use of valid and reliable testing instruments. Parental fitness evaluations are primarily administered
to parent(s) involved with child welfare services or for private courts when concerns arise related to custody conflicts.
This evaluation is not a substitute for a child custody evaluation. A parental fitness evaluation is not appropriate if both
parents are involved in a custody dispute. Parental fitness is evaluations may be conducted on adolescents and parents
with cognitive deficits as two examples that may or may not involve child welfare.
Home Evaluation
Home
evaluations take approximately two hours to complete. The evaluation provides a comprehensive review of the housing structure,
pictures of the home, review of familial and functioning issues, background checks, character references, drug testing when
applicable and placement recommendations. Home evaluations referrals are typically generated by attorneys, courts or child
welfare agencies.
